Why Two-Wheelers Don't Pay Toll

             Two-Wheelers Don't Pay Toll

  • Let's understand first , why do we pay tolls . The NHAI (National Highway Authority Of India ) invests money to make national highways and roads . So they recover those money in the form of tolls for 10-15-20 years ( According to the contract ). Also they use the toll money to maintain the highways and roads

     Why Bike Don't Pay Toll's

  • The damage or wear and tear which usually occurs in road happens due to heavy vehicles like trucks/cars/buses etc . The bike is very lightweight as compared to these and doesn't cause much damage to roads
  • We all know that for middle-class people like us , buying an entry -level bike is also a big investment in our life . The government knows that levying tolls on two - wheelers owners for each trip can prove to be burdensome for them . Paying 30-50 Rs for every trip is not feasible for two-wheelers owners
  • On national highways , tolls booths are made every 50 or 100 Km . But two-wheelers owners in small cities or rural areas rarely travel 50 km - 100 Km daily . They don't use the highway much unlike heavy vehicles.
